{"id":17902,"date":"2025-12-10T11:57:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T10:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/?p=17902"},"modified":"2026-03-12T14:40:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T13:40:06","slug":"flagmalo-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/en\/flagmalo-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Flag\u2019Malo 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>9th edition of the Flag\u2019Malo CTF<\/strong> brought together nearly <strong>180 participants<\/strong> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/iut-stmalo.univ-rennes.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IUT of Saint-Malo<\/a> for an intense day of competition focused on cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"814\" height=\"542\" src=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/flagmalo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17895\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/flagmalo.png 814w, https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/flagmalo-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/flagmalo-768x511.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 814px) 100vw, 814px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flag\u2019Malo: An event by students, for students<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Organised by the students of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/en\/education\/two-and-three-year-higher-education-programmes\/but-reseaux-telecommunications-saint-malo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Networks &amp; Telecommunications department<\/a> at the IUT of Saint-Malo<\/strong>, Flag\u2019Malo 2025 involved over 20 staff members, all highly motivated and creative. Their long-term efforts, which spanned an entire year of preparation, challenge writing, and testing, resulted in a smooth, well-structured edition suitable for a wide audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly <strong>90 challenges across 11 categories <\/strong>awaited the participants, offering a rich variety covering programming, cryptography, networking, reverse engineering, and more. This allowed everyone to improve and <strong>put their skills into practice by exploiting vulnerabilities to capture the famous \u201cflags.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tough challenges and well-deserved rewards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 32 participating teams had 9 hours to solve as many challenges as possible. <strong>The atmosphere, both focused and friendly, encouraged collaboration, healthy competition, and determination until the very last minute.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the day, <strong>the team &#8220;Crepistes&#8221; took first place<\/strong>. The team &#8220;Diiage&#8221; came second, followed by &#8220;HackTomateOignon&#8221; in third. <strong>Congratulations to them, as well as to all participants<\/strong> for their commitment and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event benefited from the support of several key partners: Orange, Icodia, Apixit, Rubycat, and the IUT of Saint-Malo, which once again hosted the competition on its premises. <strong>CyberSchool also renewed its support, proud to contribute each year to this educational CTF and to enable several teams from its consortium to take part.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 9th edition of the Flag\u2019Malo CTF brought together nearly 180 participants at the IUT of Saint-Malo for an intense day of competition focused on cybersecurity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":17895,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[2],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.13 -
