});\n\n    <\/script>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A strong performance by CyberSchool and IUT of Saint-Malo students at the CTF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organised by Bretagne Cyber Alliance with the support of the Brittany Region and Rennes M\u00e9tropole, <strong>BreizhCTF brought together 118 teams from schools, universities and the professional world <\/strong>for an intensive eight-hour competition. Participants had to solve a series of technical challenges covering various areas of cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Represented by five cybersecurity students in their fourth and fifth years from <a href=\"https:\/\/istic.univ-rennes.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISTIC<\/a> (specialising in <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/en\/education\/masters-and-postgraduate-programmes\/masters-cybersecurity-with-ciso-specialisation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CISO<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/en\/education\/masters-and-postgraduate-programmes\/masters-cybersecurity-science-of-software-and-hardware-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Science of Software and Hardware Security<\/a>), the <strong>CyberSchool consortium team \u201c<em>fsociety<\/em>\u201d distinguished itself by finishing in 19th place<\/strong>, following a solid performance in a highly competitive context. Meanwhile, the <strong>student team from the IUT of Saint-Malo, \u201c<em>Flag Mal\u2019Win<\/em>\u201d, delivered an excellent performance by securing 10th place in the rankings<\/strong>. These results reflect the students\u2019 commitment, rigour and team spirit. Other students from ISTIC and the IUT also took part in the competition, confirming the <strong>growing engagement of the University of Rennes and its students in this field<\/strong>. Well done to all involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This edition was also marked by the <strong>increasing integration of artificial intelligence in solving challenges<\/strong>, significantly speeding up certain approaches. Kaluche, one of the founders of BreizhCTF, commented on the subject: \u201c<em>Neither for nor against the use of AI in CTFs, we must live with the times<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A joint presence to promote cybersecurity training programmes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond the competition, BreizhCTF is also a key opportunity to promote cybersecurity training programmes and meet future talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, <strong>groups of secondary school pupils were welcomed as part of Hack&amp;Teens<\/strong>. Some visited the CyberSchool and IUT stands, where teams presented their study <strong>pathways, available from baccalaureate level through to Master\u2019s level<\/strong>. <strong>Students from the IUT of Saint-Malo\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/cyberschool.univ-rennes.fr\/en\/education\/two-and-three-year-higher-education-programmes\/but-reseaux-telecommunications-saint-malo\/\">BUT R\u00e9seaux &amp; T\u00e9l\u00e9communications<\/a><\/em> also acted as chaperones for some groups<\/strong>, helping them engage with the event.
