Conference: CISO Role and Information Security in the Higher Education and Research Sector
On Thursday, September 28th, a conference was held as part of the establishment of the new Master’s Computer Science, track Chief information security officer.
The Master’s Computer Science, track Chief information security officer at ISTIC (University of Rennes) welcomed its inaugural class of students in early September. On this occasion, Thibaud Badouard, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of RENATER, delivered a conference presentation, shedding light on the various aspects of the CISO profession and the Information Security context in the realm of higher education and research. This conference was organized for students from various partner institutions of CyberSchool.
About the Speaker: Thibaud has been the CISO of RENATER since May 2023. He graduated from the École Centrale d’Électronique (ECE) with a focus on embedded systems and subsequently specialized in cybersecurity by supervising security evaluations of hardware and software components at ANSSI. Later, he joined the company Intrinsec, where he conducted and managed security services, including technical and organizational audits and penetration testing. Thibaud joined RENATER in 2017, initially working on operational security missions (especially the implementation of a security incident detection infrastructure) and later on security organization and management within the organization.
