Alumni feedback

I particularly appreciated the great diversity of topics covered in security in CyberSchool, whether reverse, intrusion test, cryptography or mathematics. This allowed me to find my way towards missions/jobs that suited me.

Thomas Peron

Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity track, graduated in 2021

Compagnies are very sensitive to the personal projects of the candidates. It is always a good point to contribute to open source projects, design tools, scripts, write write-ups, etc. Even if it is only a question of participating in a larger project with a few bugfixes, you must have done something else outside the school framework to show your interest and motivation.

Gabrielle Viala

Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity track, graduated in 2013

There were many key moments during my studies and one of them was the privacy course in the final year of my Master’s. The teacher was great and the case studies and practicals really helped me to understand the importance of privacy in our daily lives, and it’s still a hot topic today.

Karim Chahal

Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity track, graduated in 2015

What I really love about this sector is the diverse nature of our work and the fact that it is constantly changing: there’s no time to be bored. I learn something new every day and that’s really rewarding! Go even further than what you learn in the programme.

Cyrielle

Master’s in Mathematics and Applications – IT Mathematics and Cryptography, graduated in 2015

I have worked in three cybersecurity jobs in Rennes and I found these jobs in less than two weeks. The current context is one of the main reasons for high recruitment levels in the sector.

Jean-Philippe Dufeu

Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity track, graduated in 2015

The highlights of my studies at Université de Rennes 1 was the great teachers who were devoted to their subjects and who really knew how to transmit their enthusiasm to us. I really enjoyed talking to them because they frequently took the time to discuss my career path with me and help me make the best choices.

Kawtar Boulagouaz

Master’s in Mathematics and Applications – IT Mathematics and Cryptography, graduated in 2018

The Université de Rennes 1 training programme is an introduction to the main cybersecurity subjects: choose the subject you’re most interested in and find an internship which matches that. On the whole, students get on well during their internships and are directly hired by the company afterwards.

Sina Khoubi

Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity track, graduated in 2019

The most memorable moment was my internship with the CAIRN team at the IRISA research lab in Lannion. I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t taken that internship
