Raising Public Awareness of Cybersecurity

Every October, Cybersecurity Month invites people to reflect on cybersecurity. This initiative, led by ENISA, aims to raise public awareness of cyber threats and promote best practices to protect against them.

The second edition of the “Construisez votre avenir dans la cybersécurité” forum, initiated by Rennes Métropole and organised by We Ker, falls within this framework.

High school students, university students, and professionals seeking a career change were able to explore the field through:

  • Roundtable discussions on careers, sought-after profiles, employment opportunities, women’s role in the sector, and professional retraining.
  • Interactive workshops, such as an Escape Game and a mini Capture The Flag.
  • A CV Bar and numerous partner stands.

The afternoon reflected the spirit of the sector: dynamic, innovative, diverse, and committed. Participants were able to learn more, test their skills, and perhaps even ignite a vocation in cybersecurity.

The CyberSchool Team Fully Engaged

The CyberSchool team was fully committed throughout the event.

Christèle Jacq-Arnoult and Stéphane Szymaski took part in several key moments:

  • A roundtable on careers, employment opportunities, and sought-after profiles (with Apec, the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber, and Secure-IC).
  • An interactive workshop where participants had to guess the speakers’ professions from their pitches.
  • A roundtable dedicated to women’s career paths in cyber, hosted by CEFCYS, featuring Fanny Shehabi, an ESIR alumna, and Joséphine Bourrinet, cadette de la cyber (Cyber Centre of Excellence).
  • A roundtable on professional retraining in the sector.

Meanwhile, Mélanie and Maéva were present at the CyberSchool x IUT de Saint-Malo stand, engaging with high school students, university students, and professionals seeking a career change, and presenting the courses and opportunities offered by the sector.

This team spirit fully reflected CyberSchool’s commitment to the cybersecurity ecosystem.
