European Cyber Week 2025
Present at the “Université de Rennes – Cybersécurité” stand during European Cyber Week, CyberSchool highlighted its initiatives in cybersecurity research and education.
Training programmes presentation and ministerial visit
The “Université de Rennes – Cybersécurité” stand welcomed high school students, university students, and professionals interested in the consortium’s cybersecurity programmes, ranging from undergraduate (BSc) to postgraduate (MSc and beyond). The CyberSchool team, alongside CyberSkills4All, answered questions and showcased concrete examples of cybersecurity career pathways. Several consortium students also shared their experiences, enabling well-received peer-to-peer exchanges.
A key highlight was the visit of Madame Anne Le Hénanff, Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs, who was welcomed at the stand by the University President, David Alis. Discussions were particularly engaging, especially regarding questions of digital sovereignty and the intersections between artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Conferences, CTF, and graduation ceremonies
In parallel, several alumni, PhD students, and researchers spoke at round tables and conferences, covering a variety of topics: the feminisation of the sector, career transitions, the NIS2 Directive, AI-cybersecurity interactions, and more.
The Head of the Master’s in Mathematics and Applications – IT Mathematics and Cryptography, took the opportunity of European Cyber Week to officially present diplomas to former students, in a convivial ceremony celebrating their achievements.
Finally, students from the University of Rennes demonstrated their skills in the CTF organised for the occasion, securing 3rd place, a remarkable accomplishment against some of Europe’s top talent.
