Flag’Malo 2024
This Saturday 7 December, 132 cybersecurity enthusiasts gathered at the IUT of Saint-Malo to take part in the 2024 edition of CTF Flag’Malo, a unique event created by students, for students.
The competition provided an engaging and educational environment, allowing participants to test their skills across various areas of cybersecurity.
A diverse and collaborative challenge
CTF Flag’Malo presented a range of diverse challenges, assessing participants’ abilities in fields such as cryptography, exploitation, forensics, web security, and more. These trials showcased the talents of the teams while encouraging a spirit of collaboration and mutual support.
Beyond the intense competition, the event also provided a special opportunity for sharing and exchanging among students from different cybersecurity courses. The day blended competitive intensity with a convivial atmosphere, offering all participants a rich and formative experience.
Valuable support from partners
CyberSchool was proud to sponsor this educational CTF, contributing to an increased number of participants this year. Indeed, six teams flying the CyberSchool banner participated in the competition.
Alongside CyberSchool, sponsors such as Orange, APIXIT, Icodia, the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber, and Saint-Malo Agglomération provided invaluable support, ensuring the event was impeccably organised for everyone involved.
In addition to the technical challenges, some sponsors delivered enlightening talks:
- CYBERSCHOOL: “Discover how unexpected system vulnerabilities can act as gateways for devastating attacks” presented by Corentin Bouchard.
- ICODIA: “A fascinating insight into the mechanics of internet traffic hijacking” presented by Raphaël Angleraux.
- ALUMNI: “Sharing our experiences at the Ph0wn 2024 competition” presented by Paul and Émile.
