NIST Announces First Four Quantum-Resistant Cryptographic Algorithms
After six years of international competition, NIST has selected the best algorithms capable of withstanding the assault of a future quantum computer. Pierre-Alain Fouque and Paul Kirchner, researchers from Université de Rennes 1, are among the winners.
Congratulations to the 4 teams whose cryptographic schemes have been selected by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in the framework of the post-quantum cryptography project: CRYSTALS-Kyber, CRYSTALS-Dilithium, Falcon et Sphincs+.
A special congratulations to Pierre-Alain Fouque and Paul Kirchner from Université de Rennes 1, who collaborated with an international team of researchers to build the Falcon signature scheme.
