Les Jeunes IHEDN visited the Inria laboratory in Rennes
Les Jeunes IHEDN, through CyberSchool, had the opportunity to visit the Inria laboratory in Rennes. This visit, marked by enriching exchanges, provided an insight into the strategic challenges of research in computer science and cybersecurity.
Les Jeunes IHEDN: a commitment to defence
The Les Jeunes IHEDN association is a national organisation recognised as being of public interest. Affiliated with the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN), its mission is to train on defence issues, promote strategic thinking, and strengthen national cohesion. The IHEDN, an interministerial body under the authority of the Prime Minister, plays a key role in raising awareness of security and defence matters.
The visit to the Inria laboratory in Rennes fully aligned with this mission by highlighting the importance of scientific research in the strategic field of cybersecurity.
An immersion into cybersecurity research
The participants were welcomed by three members of Inria: Olivier Zendra, researcher and cybersecurity mission officer; Ludovic Mé, deputy to the scientific director in charge of the “Cybersecurity” research field; and Jonas Renault, head of engineering, defence & security mission.
These speakers gave the participants an overview of the work carried out at Inria in this strategic sector. They also presented the role of researchers and the practical applications of research projects in cybersecurity.
